Freestyle wrestling can dominate the standing exchange through stance, pace, chain attacks and mat returns. BJJ adds a different problem after contact: guard, positional control and submissions can turn a successful takedown into the start of another fight.
The BORETS LAB films isolate those questions in different ways. One sends a 57 kg wrestler through five fresh BJJ belts with no guard pulling. Another starts three athletes inside the same buggy choke. A movement challenge asks whether BJJ and Sambo athletes can reproduce a wrestler's explosive coordination.
