The same athletes. Years of work between the photographs.
In the archive photograph, Ievgen walks with two young Borets athletes on a trip to a children's competition in Abu Dhabi. Years later, they stand beside him as athletes shaped by the same club.

Ievgen describes the boys in the earlier photograph as roughly seven or eight years old. The contrast is striking, but the important part is what the photographs cannot show: repeated practice, learning to work with a partner and progressing through increasingly demanding training.
In the BORETS system, physical preparation belongs alongside technique. Strength matters, but so do mobility, coordination and the ability to apply effort at the right moment. A powerful athlete still needs to manage balance, react to an opponent and keep useful positions.
This is a record of these athletes' development, not a promise that every child will follow the same competitive path. For parents, the useful question is how training is organised over time: what a child is learning, how the coach adjusts the task and whether progress extends beyond a single result.
The online school shares the principles behind this work. Use the learning resources to understand the system and bring specific questions to the team through lesson comments when you join. Children's practical training still belongs with an appropriate coach.
